C-45F EXPEDITER “BUCKET OF BOLTS”
COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE
The C-45 is a military transport version of the Beechcraft Model 18, which began its 32 year production lifespan in 1937.  The C-45 was first ordered by the U.S. Army Air Corps as a staff transport, but a navigator training version, the AT-7, and a float-version, AT-7A, soon followed.  It was further modified in 1941 as an advanced trainer, AT-11, complete with a small bomb bay, transparent nose, and two .30 caliber machine guns and used for bombardier and gunnery training.  The final wartime variant was the photo-recon F-2.  The Navy and Marine Corps used the versatile aircraft as the JRB and SNB.
